Richard D. Rasor Jr.

On March 30, 2010, Richard Drew Rasor Jr. of Larchmont, N.Y., passed away suddenly at the age of 48. He was a longtime summer resident of Cutchogue.

He leaves behind his wife and best friend, Kathleen Brustman Rasor, his beloved children, Drew, 13, Ryan, 12, Katie, 9, and Robbie, 6. He is also survived by his parents, Kewie Stutzmann, Richard and Gretchen Rasor, and was predeceased by Fred Stutzmann. He is mourned by sisters Kerry Rasor, Missy Hantz, Lorrie Stutzmann, Heidi Perry, and brother Carter Davidson. He leaves behind 11 nieces and nephews and many devoted friends and family members.

Rich was raised in Garden City and graduated from Garden City High School in 1980. He received his bachelor’s degree from University of Richmond, home of his beloved “Spiders.” Rich had a successful career in advertising sales at Crain’s New York Business, Times Mirror Magazines, and most recently at North American Media Group.

Above all, Rich was a wonderful and loving husband and father. His greatest joy was spending time with his family at the Larchmont Yacht Club, on the beach at Watersedge on Nassau Point and at The Bethel Inn. Rich was a warm, generous spirit who loved to golf, ski and laugh with his many wonderful friends. We greatly mourn his loss, and his memory will live on through all of us. He was taken from us far too soon.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Rasor Family Trust 2010 in care of The Golden Shoestring (Junior League of Westchester on the Sound), 149 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont, NY 10538.

Visiting was held Monday, April 5, at John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont.

A Funeral Mass was held at Saint Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church in Larchmont, on Tuesday, April 6.
