Barbara A. Pumillo

Lifelong Cutchogue resident Barbara Pumillo passed away May 19 at Charlotte Regional Hospital in Florida. She was 72.

Barbara was born May 5, 1938, in Richmond Hills, Queens, to Elsie (nà e Burner) and Thomas Florence.

For over 25 years, Barbara and her husband, Harry, ran Fisherman’s Rest restaurant in Cutchogue. She enjoyed shopping, nature and wildlife. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her family said she will be deeply missed.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 53 years; her daughter, Cheryl, and son-in-law, Van Vasilakos, of Mattituck; her son, Gary, and daughter-in-law, Cindy, of Cutchogue; and three grandchildren, Denise, Kyle and Kevin.

She also survived by her niece, Sandy Simchick, and nephew, Checkie Simchick, both of Cutchogue.

Cremation was private. A memorial will take place at a later date.
