Gustavo Acero and Paola Ayala

Gustavo Acero Sr. and Mireya Torres of Greenport have announced the engagement of their son, Gustavo, to Paola Ayala, daughter of Maritza Giraldo of Bogota, Colombia.

Paola is studying politics and international relations at Universidad Sergio Arboleda in Bogota.

Gustavo, who graduated from Greenport High School in 2001 and New York Institute of Technology in 2007, is editorial production assistant at Times/Review Newspapers.

The couple plans a 2011 wedding.
