Southold-Peconic: Alumni soccer game a success

The first-ever SHS men’s alumni soccer game held last Saturday was a big success. There were lots of spectators, including many children who came to watch their daddies play. Ted Graham scored the only goal, but all the players had a great time. Thanks to Dan McGunnigle, Paulette Ofrias, Scott Ofrias and everyone who helped to make this event possible.
Saturday was also a beautiful day for the 17th annual Whitebread sailing race. Bill and Karen Rich and their crew — John Barker, Nicki Kelly, George Koch, Henry Rich and Steve Grzesik — led Spindrift to a first-place overall finish and First in Fleet in the non-spinnaker division.
