Beautiful poinsettia plants are being sold at Southold Elementary School to benefit sixth-grade field trips. Call the elementary office at 765-5208 for information. Orders are due by Friday, Nov. 19.
The elementary drama students will present the musical “Tom Sawyer” on Nov. 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at Southold Pharmacy or the high school computer lab. The show is directed by Kelli Baumann and Audrey Grathwohl, with sets by Casey Rooney.
Many of you supported the Wounded Warrior Project’s Soldier Ride in September. Now, the “First Settlers” — a team made up of Erick Arauz, Pete Castillo, Chris Conroy, Mike Erdman, Dan Hagerman, Kris Ocker, Carl Ruthinoski and Bryce Wilinski — will compete in the “Toughmudder” on Nov. 21 at Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J. This 12-mile mud course laden with 19 obstacles has been called the “toughest single-day event in the world.” Please support this worthy cause by making a donation at toughmudder.com.
