Peconic man charged with second DWI

Otto Pirir, 36, of Peconic was charged with felony DWI on Sunday evening after he was stopped for a traffic violation  just after 5 p.m. on Rt. 25 in Southold.

Mr. Pirir was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and his car was impounded due to a prior DWI conviction, according to police reports.

Mr. Pirir was taken to police headquarters and held for arraignment.
