Laura MacLeod and Edward (Ned) Mulligan were married Aug. 21, 2010, at Old South Church in Belgrade, Maine. Laura is the daughter of Joan Hughes of Laurel and Nelson MacLeod of Heathsville, Va. Ned’s parents are Adair Mulligan of Lyme, N.H., and Edward and Pamela Mulligan of Middletown, R.I.

The bride was attended by her sister Mary MacLeod as maid of honor, and bridesmaids Hayden Mulligan, Chelsea Hanrahan and Natalia Phillips-Portillo. The groom’s brother, James Mulligan, served as best man; groomsmen were James Scholtz, Jon Farnham and Jonathan Fegely. The bride’s niece Claudine Hausler and nephew John Lajda served as flower girl and ring bearer. Brianne Lee and Antonia Valdes-Dapena were readers, and the groom’s father, the Rev. Edward Mulligan, officiated. Following the ceremony, family and friends gathered for a reception at the Village Inn in Belgrade Lakes, near Ned’s family’s summer home.

Laura graduated from Mattituck High School and Ned from Hanover High School in New Hampshire in 2000. Both received bachelor’s degrees from Dickinson College in 2004 and completed graduate school at Indiana University last spring.

The couple resides in Indianapolis, where Ned works as an attorney. Laura is employed as a librarian at a nearby university.
