Empty Bowls dinner set for Friday
Students, parents and teachers at Mattituck High School have been working for two years to create more than 200 ceramic bowls for a big charity event for the hungry at the school cafeteria this Friday night.
The Empty Bowls Soup Supper, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 11, sponsored by the Mattituck High School Art Partners, will benefit the Community Action Southold Town’s food pantry.
Everyone attending will get a handmade ceramic bowl, as well as bread, soup and dessert. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
