Slide Show: Hope for a Cure Cut-a-Thon in Mattituck

The Fourth Annual Hope for a Cure Cut-a-Thon to benefit Southold’s Relay for Life and American Cancer Society was held on Saturday at Hair Experience in Mattituck.

Each $45 donation included a wash, cut, style and luncheon provided by The Village Cheese Shop, Wendy’s Deli and Butta’ Cakes Cupcake Factory.

Southold Relay for Life committee member Cathy Dries said that the event, sponsored by Mattituck High School’s A Dream is a Wish Relay Team, raised $2,505. Southold’s 2011 Relay for Life takes place on June 4 and 5 at Jean Cochran Park in Peconic.
