Regina A. Salzmann

Regina A. Salzmann, a resident of Southold for the past 10 years, died on Feb. 24 at home. She was 66.

Born Jan. 8, 1945, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Nicholas and Regina (Kavanagh) Pavacich, she married Denis Salzmann in June 1966 in Rockville Centre. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Adelphi University in 1991.

An accountant with the IRS in Hauppauge for 19 years, she was a certified master gardener and a member of the Red Hat Society and the Adriatic Society. Besides gardening, she was interested in crafts, boating, traveling, reading and cooking for her family.

Ms. Salzmann is survived by her husband; her daughters, Elizabeth Jansen of Aquebogue and Ann Raffenberg of Palm City, Fla.; her son, Matthew, of Cutchogue; two sisters, Ronnie Pittluck of Wisconsin and June Zarra of New Jersey; her brothers Thomas Pavacich of New Jersey and Frank Harford of Illinois; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Dennie Harford.

Visiting hours were held Feb. 27 and 28 at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue. Funeral services took place March 1 at St. Patrick R.C. Church in Southold.
