Robert G. Lauriguet

Robert G. Lauriguet of Mattituck and Jupiter, Fla., died March 9 in Riverhead. He was 86.

He was born Nov. 12, 1924, in Berwick, Pa., to Gustave and Ethel (Peterman) Lauriguet and served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946.

Formerly of Hollis and Bay Shore, N.Y., Mr. Lauriguet owned Krieger Well & Pump Corporation and lived on the North Fork for 38 years. He was a member of the Lions Club and the American Legion and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Cutchogue.

He is survived by his wife, Renee (née Kennedy); his children, Sharon Demopoulos of Mattituck; Robert Jr., of Anchorage, Alaska; Michele Feaster of Freedom, Calif.; Deborah, of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and Lynette Morales, of Eugene, Ore.; a sister, Dorothy Baldis of Connecticut; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 17, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck, where parish prayer services will be held at 3 p.m. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 18, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church in Mattituck, by Monsignor Joseph W. Staudt, with the assistance of the Ministry of Consolation. Interment, with U.S. Navy honors, will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
