Mary Anna Ford-Riddick

North Fork native Mary Anna Ford-Riddick died April 13 at Highfield Gardens Care Center in Great Neck. She was 82.

She was born in Peconic on June 5, 1928, to Mary Catherine and John Daniel Ford and was raised in Cutchogue.

She married John B. Riddick on Nov. 30, 1957, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Cutchogue for many years. Family members said she was strongly committed to her religious faith, was an honorary member of the Missionary Board and worked closely with the feeding program at Union Baptist Church in Brooklyn.

Predeceased by her husband, Ms. Ford-Riddick is survived by her sisters, Ruth Hubbard of Peconic, Alice Hicks of Tampa, Fla., and Lillian Jones of Riverhead; and her brother George Ford of Jamaica. She was also predeceased by her siblings William, John, Leroy and Frankie Ford.

Visiting hours were held April 18 at First Baptist Church of Cutchogue, where homegoing services were conducted April 19 by the Rev. Cornelius Fulford. Interment was at Cutchogue Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Homes.
