Frank Plesich of Southold died suddenly on April 26, 2011, just 26 days after his wife, Silvana. He was 67 years old.
He was born in Croatia on January 31, 1944, to Ivo and Mattea Plesich and attended school there. In 1968, he married Silvana Bussanich and together they made their home in Southold, where Frank was a painter.
Frank was a member of the Adriatic Social Club and the Italian-American Club, and was a communicant of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Southold. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, travel, dancing and boating.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis, of Huntington Beach, Calif., and David, of Southold; four siblings, Bepi, Teresa and Marici, all of Croatia, and Rina, of New York; two grandchildren, Bianca and Samantha; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family received friends April 29 at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold, where parish prayers were offered by Father Peter Garry. The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated April 30 at St. Patrick R.C. Church by Father George Michell. Interment was at the church cemetery.
