Martha Rooney

Martha Rooney of Greenport died April 20 at the age of 75.

She was born Dec. 2, 1935, in Richmond Hill, Queens, to Kathleen (McKenna) and Irving Corkett.

She married Terrance M. Rooney in Queens on May 25, 1957, and was a homemaker for most of her adult life.

Ms. Rooney is survived by her daughter, Eileen; her sisters, Eileen O’Connell and Marion and Kathleen Corkett; and her brothers, Irving and Albert Corkett.

Visiting hours were held April 25 and 26 at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport. A funeral service, officiated by Father Ken Hand, took place April 27 at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport. Interment followed at Calverton National Cemetery.
