Daniel L. Tucker

Daniel L. Tucker, former resident of Greenport, N.Y., Port Charlotte, Fla., and Philadelphia, Pa., passed away Tuesday, May 17, in North Carolina. Mr. Tucker was born in London, England, and would have celebrated his 100th birthday in August 2011.

Mr. Tucker’s career was spent in government service, including the intelligence division of the Internal Revenue Service and the U.S. Agency for International Development. He enjoyed an active retirement with his wife of nearly 70 years, Anne M. Tucker, who predeceased him.

Survivors include daughters Anne Richmond, Kathleen Monaghan, Patricia Wall and Maureen Tucker-Danielson; sons Daniel L. Tucker Jr,, William P. Tucker and T. Michael Tucker. He is also survived by sons- and daughters-in-law, 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
