Mooreen F. Terry

Longtime Orient resident Mooreen F. Terry died May 13 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. She was 74.

She was born July 9, 1936, at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport to Alyce (Moore) and John Thomas Foster and graduated from Greenport High School in 1954.

According to family members, she enjoyed cooking and baking and loved to crochet and sew.

Ms. Terry is survived by her son, David, of Orient, and a grandson. She was predeceased by her brother, Roger Foster, in 1978.

Visiting hours are scheduled for  Thursday, May 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport. A service will be held Friday, May 27, at 1 p.m. at Orient Congregational Church, with Pastor Ann Van Cleef officiating. Interment will be at Sterling Cemetery in Greenport.
