  • In this article is says that Mr Lossquadro said, “….and same-sex marriage legislation — which he said he voted in opposition because of his Catholic beliefs “. Arent our representatives supposed to vote in a way that represents their constituents views – not their personal views? I don’t recall any poll in our area asking for our opinion on this subject. How can Mr. Losquadro vote his personal religious beliefs without taking into account the many locally that do not share his ideology? The separation of Church and State feels very murky on this issue just as it does with a woman’s right to choose. My guess is Mr. Losquadro is equally religiously uncomfortable with stem cell research. Our elected officials need to vote in our interests, not their own.
