Health Beat: Lots of ways to get moving

• Dr. Judy Ann Emanuele will conduct free skin cancer screenings at the Gladys Brooks Medical Village, on Atlantic Avenue near Eastern Long Island Hospital, on Thursday, June 16, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Call 477-5121.

• Mattituck-Laurel Library will offer free health insurance counseling sessions for Medicare-eligible people on Tuesday, June 21, 1:30-3 p.m., under the auspices of the Suffolk County Office for the Aging. Call 298-4134.

The library will also offer T’ai Chi practice sessions Tuesdays, 9-10 a.m., for eight weeks beginning June 21. The fee is $30 for Mattituck and Laurel residents,  $35 for others. Call 298-4134.

Chair aerobics classes with Laurie Short will take place at the library on Wednesdays, 9-10 a.m., for six weeks starting June 22. Bring water and three- to seven-pound dumbbells, The fee for the series is $30 for residents, $35 for non-residents.

• Cutchogue New Suffolk Library will host a series of Zumba fitness classes at 6:30 p.m. on Mondays, June 20 to Sept. 12, with no classes July 4 and 11 and Sept. 5. The series costs $60. Call 734-6360.
