Baseball: Camastro involved in both Aviators runs against Ospreys
Nick Camastro scored one run and then drove in the winning run for the Westhampton Aviators, who pulled out a 2-1 victory over the North Fork Ospreys in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League on Thursday.
Camastro’s single up the middle in the bottom of the eighth inning snapped a 1-1 tie at Hite Field in Westhampton.
It was Camastro who had given the Aviators (10-9) a 1-0 lead in the first when he was brought home thanks to Brian Guymon’s sacrifice fly.
The Ospreys (11-8) pulled even in the seventh on back-to-back, two-out doubles by Ian Vazquez and Rocco Gondek.
Camastro, Aaron Cohn and Mike Ahmed provided the Aviators with two hits apiece.
Gondek and Erik Williams had two-hit games for the Ospreys.
