Anthony Maisano

Anthony Maisano (1951-2011)

Anthony was born in Pelligrina, Reggio Calabria, Italy, on May 17, 1951, to Giuseppe and Caterina Maisano. He and his family moved to America to live the America Dream. He was a proud graduate of both Pace University and William Paterson University, where he studied business. He worked as a manager for ShopRite supermarket in his twenties, where he met business partner Larry and they ventured out into the restaurant world together. They opened their first restaurant in the early ’80s in East Orange, N.J.

After many years and a couple of restaurants, they decided to enter a career in the Blimpie franchise business. They owned and operated many stores before joining forces with another partner, Michael, and became LAMM associates. Together they became successful area developers for the brand.

Anthony’s passions were cooking, food, music and fishing but most of all family and friends. He was a lover of life and an optimist, among many other things. Anthony could always be found with a smile on his face and enjoying the many simple things that life had to offer.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Karen (Olsen); his children and pride and joy, Joseph and Danielle; and his brother, Costantino Maisano, and mother, Caterina Calabro Maisano, both of Cliffside Park, N.J. He is also survived by his Uncle Paul Calabro of Mattituck and many, many dear cousins, extended families and friends. He will be deeply missed by everyone who came in contact with him.

Arrangements were handled by Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue.
