Rose Mary Burkhardt

Lifelong New Suffolk resident Rose Mary Burkhardt died Aug. 31 at her home. She was 82.

She was born Feb. 6, 1929, in Greenport, to Francis and Margaret Burkhardt and attended New Suffolk School. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Parish in Cutchogue and a member of Local 1500.

Ms. Burkhardt is survived by her siblings, Frank Burkhardt of Gloucester, N.J., Agnes Burkhardt of New Suffolk and Catherine Benton of Hampton, Va.

Private services were held Sept. 6 under the direction of DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Homes.
