Mattituck taco shop goes out of business

Bahia taco shop in Mattituck is now out of business.

A for lease sign now hangs in the window of the vacant storefront located in the Waldbaum’s shopping center on Main Road.

When reached Wednesday, Bahia owner Seamus McCarthy confirmed the eatery is now closed though he declined to comment further.

The taco shop was seized by the state in September 2010 for failure to pay taxes. It reopened several days later.
