Stella Marie Blasko

Stella Marie Blasko of Ithaca, N.Y., died Oct. 3 at Cayuga Medical Center at the age of 81.

Born June 19, 1930, in Mattituck to Stanley and Josephine (Bachiel) Blasko, she was a teacher at Boynton Junior High School in Ithaca for 37 years.

She is survived by her sisters, Helen Sobanski of Devon, Conn., Bertha Wnuk of New Britain, Conn., and Florence Foster of Seneca Falls, N.Y., and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 8, from 8 to 9 a.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cutchogue, Father Marian Bicz officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, also in Cutchogue.
