Today in sports: Greenport volleyball heads to Port Jefferson

Coming off a 3-0 win over The Stony Brook School, the Greenport/Southold girls volleyball team hits the road today to take on Port Jefferson, a team one spot ahead of the Clippers in the League VIII standings.

The Clippers, who have won two of their previous three matches, are 4-4 in league.

It’ll be the second time the teams face off against each other. In early September the Royals won 3-1.

The Royals come into the match at 4-3 in league and 4-4 overall while tied for first place. Shelter Island has first place all to its self at 7-0.
