• The work of Jamesport photographer Steve Berger will be on display during November at Mattituck-Laurel Library. Mr. Berger has been taking photos on the East End since 1996. An artist’s reception is planned for 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6.

• A reception for artist Mike Stanko of Valley Stream and an accompanying concert will be hosted by Rothman’s Gallery in Southold from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.

Mr. Stanko’s work, described in a press release as “a world of art which blends life’s traditional scenes and imagined surroundings within a whirlwind of pop culture and color,” will be shown along with local scenes by Ron Rothman and Stacey Brandfon. The exhibit will be on view through Dec. 31.

The concert will feature Caroline Doctorow and the Streamrollers, Job Potter & Friends, and The Park Ave. Gypsies with Southold Slim.

• Call for artists: South Street Gallery in Greenport will present ‘10 x 10 = 100’ in December to benefit North Fork Environmental Council and will provide 10-inch-square boards for interested artists. The first board is free; up to two additional boards may be purchased for $7 each. Each work will be sold for $100, with 25 percent going to the gallery and the remainder split between NFEC and the artist.
A preview will be held Friday, Dec. 2, with the sale beginning at 6 p.m. the next day. Call 477-0021.

• Arts and craftspeople are sought for the second “A Taste of American Arts & Crafts, With a Side Dish of Antiques and Collectibles” planned for Saturday, Nov. 26, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Greenport.
