Robert J. Brown

Robert J. Brown of Southold died Oct. 27 at the age of 88.

He was born in Greenport July 9, 1923, to Michael and Josephine (Mouhart) Brown. He served in the U. S. Navy and was an engineer with the Long Island Rail Road for 42 years.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Helen; his daughter, Diane Hepworth of East Islip; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, William.

Interment will take place Saturday, Oct. 29, at 10 a.m. at Southold First Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
