Cops: New Suffolk man arrested on drug charges

A New Suffolk man was arrested Thursday morning on drug charges, Southold Town Police said.

At around 9:50 a.m., Jared Martin, 21, was driving a 1998 GMC Suburban on Elijahs Lane in Mattituck when police pulled him over and found a pill on the drivers seat, as well as marijuana in the vehicle, officials said.

Mr. Martin was also driving with a suspended license, police said.

He was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, officials said.
