Police: Greenport woman drove over curb, hit bank

A 76-year-old woman ran her car into the Capital One bank branch in Greenport Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Southold Town police said Eileen Kiski of Greenport was parked outside the bank when she put the car in drive, jumped the curb and ran into the building about 10:15 a.m. She was taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital  for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

The accident caused “structural” damage to the bank and damaged Ms. Kiski’s car, police said.

No charges were filed and no serious injuries were reported.
