Two Mattituck High School students were taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital shortly before 11 a.m. Monday morning after the car they were riding in struck a guard rail on the North Road in Mattituck.

A third student refused medical attention.

The one car accident apparently occurred when the Hyundai went off the road as it attempted a right turn south onto Mill Road.

The Cutchogue Fire Department rescue squad attended to the injured youths.
