Video: Should state increase penalties for SAT cheaters?
The New York State Committee on Higher Education will host a meeting today to discuss if legislation to increase SAT security should include an increase in criminal penalties for those found guilty of cheating, according to the Senate website.
The committee meeting will be aired live on the Senate’s site and you can watch it right here beginning shortly after 11 a.m.
The meeting comes months after a major SAT cheating scandal was busted up in Nassau County. One student-for-hire busted in the scandal had allegedly taken the SAT exam 15 times for pay, earning more than $3,500.
