Police: Greenport neighbors arrested in separate drunk driving incidents

A Fifth Street man and another man who lives on the adjacent Fifth Avenue in Greenport were arrested Sunday night after being spotted driving drunk in separate incidents, Southold Town Police said.

Joseph Gagen, 45, of Fifth Avenue was arrested after he struck a parked car on First Street, Southold Town Police said. No injuries were reported in the 11:30 p.m. crash.

David Juzapavicus, 51, failed to maintain his lane of travel while driving down Fifth Avenue shortly before 10 p.m., police said.

Both men were arrested and held overnight at Southold Police Headquarters, where they await arraignment today.
