Photos: Greenport students present “archy & mehitabel”

The Greenport High School Drama Club presents “archy & mehitabel” beginning tonight at 7 p.m. in the school’s auditorium.

A musical based on the series of New York Tribune columns by Don Marquis, “archy & mehitabel” tells the story of Archy, a soulful and poetic cockroach who tries desperately to rehabilitate Mehitabel the alley cat.

The Greenport production is directed by A.D. Newcomer, with musical direction by George Cork Maul. Tickets are $10 at the door or in advance at the school’s main office. Tickets for students are $8.
