Cops: Steak thief exposed himself inside Waldbaum’s

A Southold man unzipped his pants and exposed himself inside Waldbaum’s in Mattituck Friday after he was caught trying to steal steak, Southold Town Police said.

Kenneth McKay, 49, was charged with petit larceny and public lewdness.

Police said he tried to conceal $80 worth of steaks inside his shirt but was stopped by store employees as he attempted to leave the store shortly before noon. After being confronted, he unzipped his pants and “displayed himself,” police said.
