The Greenport Village Board will hold its monthly work session in the Third Street Firehouse at 6 p.m. tonight

The Village Board is expected to discuss the Greenport Farmers Market’s public assembly permit application. Farmers market organizers are looking to move their location from the market’s previous location on Adams Street to a parking lot located west of the IGA Supermarket on South Street. Both locations are municipal lots.

Department heads will also present their monthly reports to the Village Board, which are included in the agenda below.

Included in Village Treasurer Charlene Kagel’s report is establishing a $350,000 budget for the Memorial Day weekend Tall Ships of America event. A $75,000 portion of the Tall Ships budget is expected to be repaid with proceeds from ticket sales, according to Ms. Kagel’s report.

There is also a proposed resolution to accept a public permit application submitted by the North Fork Chamber of Commerce. The chamber is looking to use a portion of Mitchell Park for its 3rd Annual Art Show, which is scheduled for July 21 at 11 a.m.
