Baseball: Mattituck rides four-run rally to victory
TUCKERS 6, RED DEVILS 5
Right-handers Marcos Perivolaris and Cameron Burt scattered five hits and catcher Nick Bieber drove in two runs to help Mattituck to a 6-5 win over host Center Moriches in a Suffolk County League VII baseball game on Monday afternoon.
Perivolaris, a freshman, lasted a batter into the seventh inning before Burt came on to get the final three outs.
The Tuckers (4-2 overall and in the league) transformed a 2-1 deficit into a 5-2 advantage behind a four-run fourth inning and never looked back against the Red Devils (3-3, 3-3).
Right fielder John Schultz had a perfect day at the plate, going 2 for 2, walking twice, scoring twice and driving in one run for the Tuckers.
