Trenna Christine Kuerner of Southold died April 5, 2012, at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport. She was 66 years old and had been in ill health for the past four years.

She was born in Rochford, Essex, England, on Nov. 17, 1945, to Roy and Nora Kathleen (Barker) Davies and received all her formal education there.

On Jan. 6, 1981, she married Manfred Eugene Kuerner in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England, and for the past 31 years they have made their home in Southold.

She was a devoted homemaker and was previously employed by the Val Stype Agency and North Fork Animal Hospital.

Surviving are her husband, Manfred Eugene Kuerner of Southold; two daughters, Jane Elizabeth Deschenes of Henderson, Nev., and Julie Anne Messina of Parkton, Md.; a brother, Paul Ian Davies of Thetford, Norfolk, England; a granddaughter, Isabella Messina; and nieces, nephews and several cousins in England, Scotland and Long Island.

Cremation services were arranged by DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Homes. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

In her memory and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Burn Center at Stony Brook University Medical Center or The Humane Society of the United States.
