Sophie Doroski of Riverhead died April 11 at the Riverhead Care Center. She was 89.

She was born in Peconic Oct. 3, 1922, to William and Margaret Dobek. She and her husband, Frank, had owned Riverhead Beverage.

Ms. Doroski belonged to St. Isidore Altar Rosary Society.

Predeceased by her husband in 1993, she is survived by her children, Margaret Hoffman of Nevada and Frank and Isidore, both of Riverhead; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visiting hours will take place Friday, April 13, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A service will take place Saturday, April 14, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment will follow at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, also in Riverhead.
