This weekend will be a great opportunity to dress up your walls for spring with paintings that evoke the North Fork’s greatest natural settings.

A wide range of contemporary and classical paintings will be available at the Southold Historical Society’s annual art auction Saturday night at Castello di Borghese Vineyard in Cutchogue.

Works by well-known historical East End painters including Whitney M. Hubbard, Kitty Brandfield, Caroline M. Bell, Julia M. Wickham, Otto Kurth, Helen Kroeger and William Steeple Davis will be on display, as well as works by contemporary artists including Rob White, Mark Terry, Mike Stanko and photographers Andrea Pickerell and Randee Daddona.

The event is one of the historical society’s biggest fundraisers of the year.

The auction preview begins at 6 p.m. and the live auction begins at 7 p.m. Online bidding is also available at www.liveauctioneers.com. A $10 entry fee to the live event includes complementary wine and finger foods.
Castillo Di Borghese Vineyard is located at 17150 Route 48 in Cutchogue.
