Cops: Delivery driver stole from Eastern Long Island Hospital
A delivery driver and his helper were caught stealing more than $5,000 worth of items from Eastern Long Island Hospital Tuesday morning, Southold Town Police said.
After making a delivery to the hospital around 11 a.m., Fabian Rojas, 42, of Hempstead and Kevin Green, 31, of Jamiaca, NY, stole an exhaust fume hood, a stainless steel sink with a stainless base, a heavy steel fire door, two ping pong tables, a computer printer, an electronic medical monitor and a steel file cabinet upon leaving the receiving area, police said.
Police were able to track the thieves as they attempted to make a delivery to another East End Hospital. The items were all recovered, police said.
The two men stand charged of third degree grand larceny. They’re expected to be arraigned in Southold Town Justice Court Wednesday morning.
