Pair of Sunday night DWI arrests by Southold Police

Southold Town Police made a pair of DWI arrests in unrelated incidents Sunday night.

The first arrest came shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Eugenes Road in Cutchogue, when a Florida man involved in a minor motor vehicle accident was found to be intoxicated, police said.

Gerald Leskody, 50, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. was arrested, transported to police headquarters and held for a Monday morning arraignment, police said.

Police said about an hour later they responded to a call of an erratic driver operating a motor vehicle westbound on Main Road in Mattituck.

Carrie McCabe, 38, of Cutchogue was located after police observed her failing to maintain her lane of travel, police said. After failing several roadside sobriety tests,  Ms. McCabe was arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed and held overnight for arraignment, police said.
