Police: Greenport man charged with disorderly conduct

A Greenport man was arrested early Sunday morning after he pushed through a crowd of police officers to get at another man sitting in the back of a marked police vehicle, Southold Town Police said.

Paris Parks, 20, had been the victim of an earlier assault by the man he was charging after, police said. He was “highly combative” and refused to refrain from attempting to engage in a physical confrontation shortly before 3 a.m., police said.

Mr. Parks was arrested and taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital, where he received medical attention, police said. He was later released on bail.
