Southold police reported making two DWI arrests Thursday afternoon, with one of the men facing his second drunk driving charge in less than a month.

Gerald Leskody, 50,  of Cutchogue, was apprehended at about 1:30 p.m on Mill Lane in Mattituck on a misdemeanor count of DWI and a felony charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree, according to police.

Mr. Leskody was stopped for a traffic violation  when he was found to be intoxicated, police said. The felony unlicensed driving charge is the result of his driving while his license was suspend following his May 13 DWI arrest, according to police.

At that time Mr. Leskody was picked up on Eugene’s Road in Cutchogue following a minor motor vehicle accident, according to a report.

In an unrelated incident, Jason Slutsky, 30, of Seaford was arrested for drunk driving at 5:18 p.m. Thursday after reportedly driving his 2012 Mitsubishi off Route 25 in Peconic into a woodeded area at the intersection with Indian Neck Lane where he hit several trees, said police.

Mr. Slutsky was not injured. But a passenger, Diana Burgos, 47, of Valley Stream, was treated by Southold Fire Department Rescue Squad and taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital, said police.
