Photos: Heritage Day Community Celebration in Orient

The Oysterponds Historical Society held its annual Heritage Day Community Celebration on Sunday in Orient.

After enjoying a patriotic parade on Village Lane, everyone gathered at the Old Point Schoolhouse for the reading of the Declaration of Independence and a performance by the North Fork Chorale.

A picnic featuring games for kids and live music followed in nearby Poquatuck Park.
