Queens woman injured in Greenport crash

A 62-year-old Flushing woman was taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital Friday afternoon after her car was rear-ended by a pickup truck as  she turned from Route 48 onto Chapel Lane in Greenport, Southold police reported.

Police said Silva Lerian was attempting to make a right turn in her 2012 Honda sedan just before 1 p.m. when her car was struck by a 1998 Ford pickup truck driven by Gabriel Gonzalez, 51, of Greenport.

Ms. Lerian was treated at the scene by Greenport Fire Department personnel, who took her to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
