Dorothy P. Zajic

This is a final goodbye to Dorothy P. Zajic, who was born March 16, 1913, in Newport, R.I., and peacefully passed away, at the age of 99, on July 3, 2012, at the Riverhead Care Center.

She survived her husband by 15 years; he passed away on January 26, 1997, in Florida.

Ms. Zajic is survived by two children, Alice Savage, who resides in Mattituck, N.Y., and Robert Zajic, who resides in Florida; her five grandchildren; and her six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck on July 6. Ms. Zajic’s final wish was to be cremated.
