Greenport High School alumni from classes as far back as 1927 and 1932 attended the first all-class reunion Saturday where graduates and their families celebrated at Fifth Street Park in Greenport Village.

Tom Krumenacker, who graduated from Greenport in 1982 and organized the free event, said he was pleased with the turnout.

“Everybody is hugging each other, crying,” Mr. Krumenacker said. “A lot of stories are being told.”

One of those stories is about brothers Jack and Arthur Levin. Jack, 103, graduated Greenport High School in 1927 and Arthur, 97, graduated in 1932.

“I feel good today,” Jack Levin said. “I’m the sole survivor of my class and probably the oldest person here.”

In addition to food and games like horseshoes and volleyball, there was live musical performances by the East End band Beau Hulse, a Doors tribute band called L.A. Woman, singer/guitarist Josh Horton, Mike Check, Ev Corwin, Rick and Billy Rempe and Ron Rock.

The event kicked off at 10 a.m. and runs to 8 p.m.
