A Southold man who lost control of his work van following a tire blowout struck a Budweiser delivery truck on Main Road in Southold Friday morning, police said.

David Pultz, 59, was driving his work van eastbound on Main Road when his passenger-side tire blew and sent his car careening into a delivery truck parked on the side of the road near Hobart Road, Southold Town police said.

Michael Sleavensky, 36, of Manorville, the Budweiser truck’s driver, was sitting in the truck’s cab when it was hit.

Both drivers were transported to Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport for evaluation, officials said.
