The Cutchogue New Suffolk Library, in cooperation with the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Council and Friends of Library, held its annual scarecrow decorating contest Saturday afternoon on the Village Green.

Contestants created one-of-a-kind scarecrows using hay, jewelry, masks, and old clothing.

Prizes were awarded to each scarecrow in several different categories, such as “most hairy” and “most athletic.”
