Police: Man taken to hospital following hit-and-run crash in Aquebogue
One person was taken to the hospital following a hit-and-run accident Sunday afternoon on Main Road in Aquebogue, Riverhead Town police said.
An unidentified male was driving a gray Nissan near Verderbers Landscape & Garden Center at around 4 p.m. when he was sideswiped by a green vehicle, which police said drove away following the accident.
The driver of the Nissan was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center and treated for neck and back injuries, police said.
No other details about the incident were immediately available.
