Theresa Chabot

Theresa Chabot of Southold, formerly of Riverhead, died Oct. 13 at Riverhead Care Center. She was 83 years old.

Born July 17, 1929, in Riverhead, she attended Riverhead High School and worked as a nurse’s aide at Southampton Nursing Home.

She loved animals and enjoyed cooking, drawing and yard sales.

She is survived by her sons, Robert, of Springs, David, of Southold, and Lawrence, of Cutchogue; her brother, Felix Pierzchanowski of Riverhead; her sister, Anna Alecsander of Peconic; and her grandchildren, Adam and Ashley.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday, Oct. 16, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Isidore R.C. Church, followed by interment at St. John’s Cemetery, both in Riverhead.
